The original small log cabin on Lake Arrowhead had an enclosed wraparound porch with a low ceiling.  This porch was entirely rebuilt, with higher head height, and the walls were opened to make the area of the porch part of the house’s main living space.  By creating an open floor plan and relocating / redoing the kitchen, the house was totally transformed.  The character and charm of the log cabin was retained by keeping some of the key features and original detailing.
